The Music Diversity Initiative has its origins in the Basel popular referendum of the same name. At the time, one in three voters supported our proposal. That’s why we’re continuing — as a nationwide movement across Switzerland.

Caroline Faust is the operations manager of kult.kino AG. She studied media studies and sociology. She is a co-initiator of the Feminist Salon Basel. She is also involved on the board of the Culture and Gastronomy Association in Basel.
Fabian Gisler is a freelance musician. For 12 years, he toured worldwide with the band RUSCONI. He is currently working, among others, with the Basel-based saxophonist Alex Hendriksen.
Kaspar von Grünigen is a jazz double bassist. He has been directing the Musikschule Jazz Basel and its associated talent development programs for jazz/pop since 2016. For 20 years, he has been performing concerts and composing music for his own ensembles.
Kim Bollag performs on stage as the rapper KimBo. At her desk, she works in communications and project management. She studied Gender Studies and Sociology. She has worked, among others, for SRF Kultur, Public Eye, as well as various NGOs and music associations.”
Janina Neustupny is a cultural worker from Bern. She heads communications for the international music research platform Norient, managed the press office of the Swiss Music Prizes for the Federal Office of Culture from 2018 to 2025 and contributed, among other roles, to the sustainable concert tour Cycloton – Tour de Suisse en Musique in 2019 and 2024.
Jennifer Perez is a freelance musician and rapper. As La Nefera, she has performed on renowned stages around the world with her blend of Cumbia, Reggaeton, Hip-hop, Trap, and Jazz. In 2022, she won the Basel Pop Prize.
Johannes Raggio is a freelance copywriter and creative director. Besides advertising, music is his great passion. He has been involved in the initiative since the very beginning.
Roberto Barbotti is a freelance harpist and music educator. He completed the MAS in Cultural Management at the University of Basel in 2024. Roberto performs in various orchestral projects and also appears as a soloist.
Victor Moser works as a musician and sound designer for film and theatre. He is the co-director of the six-part documentary series “I’ll Remember You” about aging as a pop musician in Switzerland (SRF, 2023).
